Tire Plugger page

I had a puncture caused by running over an S-hook that caused me to use my BMW tire repair kit for the first (and hopefully only) time.

Fortunately, I'd attended a tech night at a local BMW dealer a few months earlier, and saw that the tech had to use several plugs before he got one to work properly. So when my first attempt failed, I wasn't upset.

What I was concerned about was whether or not I'd make it home, or if the tire was still leaking. Each CO2 cartridge puts in about 8 lbs of air pressure... so you need quite a few cartridges to fill a tire, and even more if the tire is still leaking air.

So, I decided to go for both the Stop-n-Go and the CyclePump. Hopefully, I'll never have to use them, but hey, that's what saddlebags are for < s >
